Privacy Policy
1. INTRODUCTION.
This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) explains how SoundSeed, Inc. (“SoundSeed,” “we,” “our,” and “us”) collects, uses, and discloses personal information through its platform for musical artists, their representatives, organizations, and fans (the “Platform”), its websites, including public Artist pages (the “Site”), its mobile application (the “App”), SoundSeed Meet services, and related products and services (collectively, the “Services”). By using or accessing the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. Capitalized terms not defined in this Policy are defined in our Terms of Service.
2. INFORMATION COLLECTED AND HOW WE USE IT.
We collect information you provide and information generated through your use of the Services. We use it to operate, secure, personalize, support, and improve the Services; process transactions; communicate with you; comply with law; and protect SoundSeed, our users, and others.
2.1. Account and Profile Information. We may collect your name, phone number, email address, profile image, age or date of birth, location, authentication records, and other account information. For Artists, Artist Groups, Managers, and Organizations, we may also collect Artist names, member names, professional roles, organization information, roster and access relationships, public profile information, social or music-service identifiers, and evidence of authority to act for an Artist or Organization.
2.2. Meet Information. When you create, book, attend, or manage a Meet, we may collect the Artist, date and time, selected slot, price, promotional code, booking and attendance status, queue activity, device and connection information, safety or moderation events, support communications, and related transaction records.
2.3. Payments and Payouts. Third-party payment providers collect payment card, bank-account, identity-verification, tax, and payout information as needed to process payments and payouts. SoundSeed may receive transaction identifiers, payment and payout status, limited payment-method details, refund and chargeback information, and other records necessary to administer transactions. SoundSeed does not receive complete payment-card or bank-account credentials.
2.4. Video, Audio, and Recordings. When you participate in a Meet, the Services may process live audio, video, images, and related technical data. SoundSeed may create and store Meet recordings to provide private playback, safety, moderation, support, and recording features. A Fan may privately view the Fan’s recording where available. An Artist and the Artist’s authorized team may access and publicly redistribute a Fan’s recording only after the Fan affirmatively authorizes that access and public redistribution through the Services.
2.5. Marketing and Notification Information. If you request marketing communications or join an Artist’s Meet notification list, we may collect your contact information, consent record, opt-in date and source, Artist lists joined, messaging activity, and opt-out status. We use this information to send requested communications, maintain compliance records, honor opt-outs, and prevent unwanted messages.
2.6. Automatically Collected Information. Whenever you interact with the Services, we may automatically receive and record information from your browser, application, or device, including IP address, approximate geolocation, device and browser identifiers, operating system, cookie and similar-technology information, pages or features requested, dates and times of access, referring pages, interactions, crash information, and time spent using the Services. We use this information to authenticate users, operate and secure the Services, remember preferences, understand usage, diagnose problems, prevent fraud, and improve the Services. You may be able to limit cookies through your browser or device settings, but doing so may prevent some features from working properly. We may also receive a confirmation when you open or interact with an email from us.
3. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION.
We may disclose personal information to the categories of recipients described below.
3.1. Personnel and Service Providers. We disclose information to personnel, contractors, and service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as Amazon Web Services and other providers of cloud hosting, databases, authentication, communications, video, payments, fraud prevention, analytics, customer support, and security. They may process information only as needed to provide services to SoundSeed and subject to applicable contractual and legal obligations.
3.2. Other Users, Artists, and Organizations. Information you make public, including public Artist profile information and content, may be visible to anyone. Information needed to operate a Meet may be shared with the participating Artist, the Artist’s authorized team, participating Fans, or an Organization, as appropriate. Only submit information to public or shared portions of the Services that you are comfortable sharing with the intended audience.
3.3. Fan Contact Sharing. If a Fan separately consents to share the Fan’s name and contact information with an Artist, we may provide that information to the Artist and the Artist’s authorized team. They may then use it for communications that are not related to SoundSeed. Once shared, the Artist and team are independently responsible for their use of that information, honoring the Fan’s consent choices, and complying with applicable privacy and communications laws.
3.4. Third-Party Services. If you choose to interact with a third-party service through or in connection with the Services, information may be disclosed to or collected directly by that provider as needed to complete your request. The provider’s handling of your information is governed by its own agreement and privacy practices.
3.5. Analytics and Diagnostics. We and our service providers, including Amazon Web Services, may process usage, performance, diagnostic, and security data to understand how the Services are used, maintain reliability, detect abuse, and improve functionality.
3.6. De-Identified and Aggregate Information. We may de-identify personal information so that it no longer identifies you and may use or disclose de-identified or aggregate information for lawful purposes, including measuring and improving the Services.
3.7. Business Transfers. If SoundSeed or its assets are acquired, financed, reorganized, sold, or involved in bankruptcy or another change of control, personal information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction.
3.8. Legal Compliance and Protection. We may access, preserve, and disclose information when we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to comply with law, governmental requests, court orders, or legal process; enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements; detect or prevent fraud, security, or technical issues; or protect the rights, property, or safety of SoundSeed, our users, or others.
4. SECURITY.
We use commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards designed to preserve the integrity and security of personal information. Where appropriate, we also require service providers to take reasonable precautions against unauthorized use of personal information. No system is completely secure, however, and we cannot ensure or warrant that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.
5. MODIFICATION, DELETION, AND RETENTION OF INFORMATION.
Through available account settings, you may access, edit, or delete certain personal information. You may also contact us at info@getsoundseed.com. It may be impossible to delete information completely because of backups, records of deletion, legal obligations, fraud-prevention needs, transaction and dispute records, or information necessary to protect SoundSeed or others. We may deny or limit a request where permitted by law, including where deletion would affect information posted publicly or information necessary to provide the Services to other users. De-identified, anonymous, or aggregate data may not be removable from our systems.
Subject to applicable law and valid deletion requests, we retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, administer Meets and transactions, maintain safety and compliance records, send communications you requested, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, comply with legal obligations, and protect SoundSeed and others.
6. BROWSER PRIVACY SIGNALS.
Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” or similar signals. Because there is not yet a universally accepted standard for these signals, the Services may not respond to them. Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally valid browser-based opt-out preference signal, we will process that signal as required.
7. AGE OF USERS.
Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to use, access, or register for the Services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it as quickly as reasonably possible. Users who are at least 13 but under the age of majority where they live may use the Services only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
8. PRIVACY RIGHTS.
Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; or to appeal a decision concerning a privacy request. To submit a request, contact info@getsoundseed.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. You may also have the right to complain to a privacy regulator.
9. CHANGES TO POLICY.
We may change this Policy from time to time. The effective date of the latest version will be posted at the beginning of this Policy. It is your responsibility to check periodically for updates. Your continued use of the Services after an updated Policy becomes effective indicates your acknowledgment of the updated Policy.

11. TEXT MESSAGING PROGRAM INFORMATION.
If you affirmatively join an Artist’s SoundSeed Meet text notification list, we collect your phone number, consent record, opt-in date and source, Artist lists joined, and related messaging activity. We use this information to administer the program, send requested notifications, honor opt-out requests, maintain compliance records, and prevent unwanted messages.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won’t be shared with any third parties. We use service providers solely to transmit messages and administer the program on SoundSeed’s behalf, subject to contractual restrictions that prohibit using this information for their own purposes.
The toll-free SoundSeed Meet Notifications program sends promotional messages only. One-time passwords, booking confirmations, transaction or service messages, safety communications, and other non-promotional messages use separate transactional sending channels and are not part of this toll-free promotional program. Opting out of promotional Meet notifications does not opt you out of those separate non-promotional communications.
